Pre-Kindergarten/Child Care Program Information

In the FMCA Pre-Kindergarten program, we believe in the importance of learning through play, using the natural wonder and curiosity that God gave children in their formative years. Personal, social, academic, and spiritual development are at the forefront of our programming. Our Pre-Kindergarten Blue class enrolls children who are the aged 33 months old through young four-year-olds. Our Pre-Kindergarten Gold class enrolls children who are aged four or five years old.

Curriculum

At our core is the HighScope Learning Curriculum, in which children develop critical thinking skills by trying out ideas, solving problems as they encounter them through play, and building skills in eight curriculum content areas. Pre-kindergarten students also enjoy music and art classes weekly. Our curriculum aligns with Michigan’s Early Childhood Learning Standards.
